Executives experienced in both ML engineering and the creative industries.
David Levy is an MLOps Engineer and Data Platform Architect based in Burbank, California, with over seven years designing and operating production data and machine-learning systems across regulated med-tech and global consumer data platforms.
Most recently, as ML Platform Engineer at a medical imaging company operating in a regulated clinical environment, David owned the machine-learning platform supporting production radiology and pathology workflows that underpinned multi-million-dollar biopharma and academic contracts. He designed and productionized data-engineering tools, APIs, and MLOps pipelines in close partnership with AI scientists and executives, architected scalable systems for terabytes of medical-imaging data, and implemented enterprise MLOps frameworks across the full model lifecycle.
Prior to that, he spent five years at a major entertainment conglomerate as Manager of Data Platforms and Advanced Analytics, where he owned and evolved consumer data and advanced analytics platforms across Databricks, customer data infrastructure, marketing activation, privacy, and governance. In that role he architected data systems supporting global commercial media initiatives with more than $100M in revenue exposure.
He has also consulted independently with a creative-industry talent platform, designing taxonomy and core data architecture for production RAG engines integrating vector search, taxonomy caching, and LLM-based reranking, while advising founders and offshore engineering teams.
His technical expertise spans Python, SQL, Rust, JavaScript, and C/C++, along with deep experience across Spark, Databricks, Airflow, MLflow, PyTorch, TensorFlow, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and database technologies including PostgreSQL, NoSQL, NewSQL, and FAISS.
David holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a Machine Learning specialization from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Finance from Purdue University Global, and a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction from Duke University, with additional graduate coursework in statistics at UCLA. He has contributed as a researcher with the Human-Augmented Analytics Group at Georgia Tech, where he was a primary contributor to benchmarking infrastructure for vector quantization and compression methods, and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in the American Journal of Surgery and the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer.
Matthew Levy is a Los Angeles native with over a decade of experience as an engineer in the entertainment industry, working on the highest-rated and most-watched shows on television. The role demanded handling sensitive data under sustained pressure, where small mistakes had outsized consequences and discretion was the baseline expectation.
Across his career, Matthew has been entrusted with high-value intellectual property and confidential creative data on behalf of major media conglomerates and the world's most recognized stars. That track record of trust, built over years on set and in production, is what he brings to Moonwater.
Matthew is also co-creator of a real estate transaction platform that reduces legal exposure for brokerages by catching errors and omissions in complex contracts. Working alongside the other founders of Moonwater, his role spanned user experience and project management from concept through build, translating operational pain points into a system brokerages could actually adopt.
At Moonwater, Matthew leads business development, with a focus on building out engagements in the creative industries. He works directly with founders, studios, and creative leaders to scope what actually needs to be built and to translate operational problems into systems their teams can own.
Bobby King brings a rare combination of machine-learning fluency and operating experience to Moonwater. As Vice President of Business Development at a leading machine-learning company, Bobby led strategic partnerships for enterprise ML deployments and worked cross-functionally with the CEO, CTO, and COO to align engineering, product, and go-to-market. The company counted multiple Fortune 500 enterprises among its clients.
Bobby is also co-creator of real estate technology platforms, including the transaction platform built alongside the other founders of Moonwater. A licensed real estate broker, he brings firsthand knowledge of the operational realities brokerages and agents actually navigate, not just the surface-level pain points.
Bobby holds a certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT, where he completed coursework on machine learning's impact on business operations. He translates between the technical and the commercial, the kind of fluency that lets him scope engagements honestly with clients and run them productively with engineering.
Alexis Zampas is Moonwater's Executive Assistant. A UC Santa Barbara graduate with a real estate sales license, she has held executive support and coordination roles across real estate and machine-learning environments.
She began her career as an Executive Assistant at Dembo Realty, then served as Executive Assistant at a leading machine-learning company. She most recently held the role of Listing Coordinator at Redfin.
At Moonwater, she supports the founders and coordinates the firm's day-to-day operations.
